Overview

Mirko Määttä moves in with his parents, Anne and Markku, in the apartment of his sick grandmother. The family decide to stay after the death of the grandmother, and Mirko quickly gets to know the other children in the neighborhood. What was supposed to be a normal summer holiday takes an unexpected turn when the neighbors son Kristian disappears without a trace.

Mirko spends the night with his new friend Pete and his sister Heidi. The parents are behaving strangely - they want to keep the secrets out and the kids out of the basement.

Tragedy falls on Mirko's family when his grandmother dies, but Mirko continues to make friends with the other children.
