Overview
A németek megszállták Franciaországot. Valamiből azonban meg kell élni - ez a jelszava a csóró és kisstílű Martinnak is, aki barátja, Jambier-vel, a hentes segítségével disznóhúst csempész keresztül-kasul Párizsban, hogy azután jó áron adjanak túl a finom falatokon. Miután barátját letartóztatják, kénytelen egy ismeretlen segítségét igénybe venni, hogy egy nagyobb szállítmányt célba jutasson. A párizsi éjszakában azonban kellemetlen meglepetés éri őket: a németek letartóztatják őket. Martin új társáról, Grandgilról kiderül, hogy híres festő.
