Overzicht
Zoon Goku is terug! Hij is nu vijf jaar getrouwd met Chichi en heeft met haar een zoon, Son Gohan. Maar de tijd van vrede en rust duurt niet lang, omdat een nieuw gevaar de aarde bedreigt. Er verschijnt een buitenaardse krijger die zichzelf voorstelt als Son Goku's oudere broer Raditz, en confronteert Son Goku met de waarheid over zijn afkomst: hij is geen mens, maar een Saiyan! Nu is hij gekomen om Son Goku te pakken te krijgen en het universum te onderwerpen. Nieuwe avonturen en gevechten tot de dood wachten op Son Goku en zijn vrienden, omdat hun vijanden machtiger zijn dan ooit tevoren. Son Goku moet nog harder trainen en grenzen overwinnen die hij zich nooit had kunnen voorstellen. Het lot van de aarde staat opnieuw op het spel...
