Overview
I 800-talets Irland lever den 12-årige pojken Brendan på det avlägsna klostret Kells. Där styr den resoluta abboten Cellach, och under hans ledning kämpar samhället hårt med att bygga upp en mur till skydd mot fruktansvärda vikingamonsters framfart.
