Rockstar Games’ next big game is set to be released sometime in 2025 for PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X/S.
Later this afternoon, the world was supposed to see the highly anticipated game “Grand Theft Auto VI” for the first time, but due to the trailer leaking earlier, Rockstar Games had to release it several hours earlier.
Despite that, the first trailer for the game has around 80 million views on YouTube. “Grand Theft Auto” is simply one of the biggest gaming series in the industry.
“Grand Theft Auto VI” is set in Leonida and the city of Vice City, as we remember from the game “Grand Theft Auto: Vice City” from 2002. Back then, it was set in the 80s, but this time it’s set in the present – with influencers and social media.
The game revolves around the main character Lucia, who escapes from prison to commit crimes again with her boyfriend. More than that, we don’t really know about the story. There have been rumors that the game will have two playable characters, but that remains to be seen.
“With ‘Grand Theft Auto VI,’ we continue to push the boundaries of what is possible in immersive and narrative-driven experiences in an open world. We look forward to sharing our new vision with players worldwide,” says Rockstar Games founder Sam Houser in a press release.
The game will be released for PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X/S sometime in 2025. So, it seems like it will take even longer before it appears on PC. The predecessor has sold over 190 million copies, so it will be exciting to see what figures this one can achieve.
