Miller’s “Mad Max: Fury Road” was the big surprise of 2015 and one of the very best action films of the decade. With the pedal to the metal from the first to the last scene, the Australian director demonstrated how to create genuine popcorn entertainment and a visual masterpiece.
There, we were introduced to the character Furiosa, played by Charlize Theron. Now it’s time for her, and Tom Hardy’s Mad Max, to step aside. The prequel film “Furiosa” puts Anya Taylor-Joy in the lead role, and we will also see Chris Hemsworth in a significant role (and with a big beard).
