Ryan will receive the “Heart of Sarajevo” honorary award at the 30th Sarajevo Film Festival, which takes place from August 16 to 23, 2024. “Meg Ryan had us at hello,” says Jovan Marjanović, the festival’s director. “She has not only enchanted us with her unforgettable performances but has also demonstrated her skills behind the camera as a director and screenwriter.” It is an honor to present the 62-year-old with the award.

According to a festival announcement, Meg Ryan will be present and greet the audience at an open-air cinema screening of her classic “You’ve Got Mail,” in which she stars alongside Tom Hanks (68). The romantic comedy was first shown there exactly 25 years ago.
