Streaming premiere on February 22nd. Never forget who you are. That’s the message in the brand-new trailer for “Avatar: The Last Airbender,” which was revealed during Netflix’s Geeked Week.
The new live-action series is based on an animated series from Nickelodeon, which was once turned into a film by M. Night Shyamalan (not a particularly successful one, according to fans). Expectations seem much higher now, and many have already praised the first images for perfectly cast actors.
The world’s four nations once lived in harmony, and the Avatar, the master of the four elements, maintained peace among them. But everything changed when the Fire Nation attacked and wiped out the Air Nomads, the first step the firebenders took to conquer the world.
“Avatar: The Last Airbender” follows the young Air Nomad, Aang, as he awakens in a world torn by war. Along with his new friends Sokka and Katara, he embarks on an action-packed journey to claim his rightful place as the next Avatar.
